Erling Haaland's full post-match interview after Dortmund 4-0 Schalke has now emerged

Erling Haaland scored the first goal of Bundesliga’s return to action after the coronavirus pandemic had halted football around the world.

Of course, he did.

The Norwegian has now scored 41 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Red Bull Salzburg and Dortmund this season.

He helped Dortmund run out 4-0 winners in the Revierderby.

But the 19-year-old then made headlines for his rather bizarre post-match interview.

Haaland said just 11 words to the beIN SPORTS reporter before walking away.

It was all incredibly awkward.

Another video then went viral that showed Haaland doing something very similar on numerous occasions.

Does he just hate giving interviews?

Well, not quite.

That’s because a video of Haaland’s FULL post-match interview after the Schalke game has emerged.

The clip shows Haaland answering questions as usual at the beginning of the interview.

So, why was his interview edited in the first place to make him look bad?

It is something that many people have been discussing on Monday with Piers Morgan (it’s not like to have an opinion on something) criticising the youngster.

“Hmmm, I’d say he isn’t programmed for basic manners. You’re a good player young man @ErlingHaaland but your arrogance with the media is unedifying,” Morgan tweeted.

However, Gary Lineker came to Haaland’s defence and replied: “A teenager with much to learn, of course. I have seen him, though, interviewed a few times where’s he’s been alright….a tad shy maybe, but this is very edited and the interview in its entirety post the Schalke game was fine.”

Just another example that you should never take anything you see on social media at face value…
