We’re sure many of you remember the TV programme 'Football's Next Star'?If you don’t, let us explain the concept.Back in 2010, more than 200 talented young players signed up to a TV talent show where the lucky winner would win a professional six-month contract with Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan. With the help of Jamie Redknapp, it was whittled down to 40 players before a final ten were chosen to make the trip to Milan for the final stage. After eight episodes, the winner was 17-year-old Ben Greenhalgh.Presented with an Inter Milan shirt alongside Mourinho, it seemed Greenhalgh had an extremely bright future ahead of him.p1e8n0r8a07j5fb83nb1hco1bl5g.jpgBut ten years on and it seems he hasn’t quite fulfilled the potential he showed on the Sky One programme. After seeing out his initial six-month contract at the San Siro, he was offered another year which included a four-month loan spell to Calcio Como in the fourth tier, where he scored eight goals in 12 games. But that’s where his stint in Italy came to an end.p1e8n0s5cjasbm8t14qb1blfngri.jpgWhat’s followed is a whistle-stop tour of the English non-league - as well as a short spell in Scotland.A look at Greenhalgh’s Wikipedia page shows he’s gone from Welling United, to Ebbsfleet United, to Maidstone United, to Concord Rangers to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, to Stenhhousemuir, back to Maidstone, back to Concord, back to Maidstone again, to Hemel Hempstead, back to Concord, to Dartford and finally, after a loan spell at Tonbridge Angels last season, signed permanently for the National League South club in January.

Phew.

In fairness to Greenhalgh - who is now 28 - you have to be pretty decent to be playing in the sixth tier of English football, which is what he’s currently doing with Tonbridge.

But it’s not just football that he’s talented at. Greenhalgh is also a PGA golfer and, in 2017, won his first PGA professional golf competition breaking the course record on the way to victory round the course at Addington.

Meanwhile, he's also worked as a body double for the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Lionel Messi and Diego Costa. He has featured in the majority of Adidas adverts over the last few years.

He may not have made it at Inter Milan - or even in the English Football League - but there’s no doubt Greenhalgh is one talented sportsman.
