The man referred to as ‘The Beast’ is seen as one of the most imposing figures in the WWE ring to date.

There is no doubt Brock Lesnar has been very successful and achieved a great deal across a multiple range of combat sports.

Starting out by winning the NCAA Division I collegiate wrestling championship as a senior at the University of Minnesota, becoming the youngest WWE Champion by overcoming The Rock at SummerSlam within six months of his debut and capturing the UFC title in just his fourth professional MMA fight.

Following his stint in UFC, Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, where he would add to his already impressive list of achievements, most notably ending The Undertaker’s legendary streak at WrestleMania.

One thing, however, that clearly stands out about Lesnar, as well as his physical stature, is his numerous tattoos that cover him from his neck to his legs.

This begs the question, what do they all mean?

Beginning with the sword on Lesnar’s chest, ‘The Best’ explains, as per The Sun: “In some ways the tattoo on my chest is about a period in my life that I want to forget.

“But I know I can use the memory as motivation.”

The time that Lesnar is referring to is the intense legal dispute with WWE and its owner Vince McMahon in the mid-2000s.

Per the terms of agreement in his contract, Lesnar was unable to compete for a rival wrestling company to the WWE - New Japan Pro Wrestling - due to a non-compete clause in his contract.

Subsequently, Lesnar felt that McMahon was figuratively holding the sword to his throat so started to get a tattoo of a sword on a drunken night out.

On his back, the former Universal Champion has a large demonic skull, which is thought to be an illustration of his personality in both the wrestling ring and the UFC Octagon.

Written on his lower back, meanwhile, and is not often seen by fans because of his trunks, he has the message ‘Kill Em All’.

It could either again be referring to his persona or referencing one of his favourite bands Metallica’s first album.

‘The Beast’ ended up using the heavy metal bands classic hit ‘Enter Sandman’ as his entrance music for UFC.

This finally takes us to the arms.

On his left shoulder is the image of Yautja from Predator. Lesnar is reportedly a huge fan of the hit Sci-Fi film.

His right upper arm has a skull inking that is meant to depict: protection, strength and overcoming death.

Some have also speculated that it could be referring to what happens to his opponents in the combat arena.

So there you have it, the meaning behind all of Lesnar's tattoos.

We all know that the sword one is the most iconic, but we cannot ignore the canvas his back has created over time.

It's also interesting to see 'Kill Em All', as like we've mentioned, we don't usually see that due to his trunks.
