We all miss football, don’t we?

The Bundesliga may have returned behind closed doors and it’s fantastic to have it back.

But it’s not quite the same.

You’ve probably forgotten what it’s like to watch a match in front of a packed stadium having never heard of COVID-19.

We football fans are a nostalgic bunch.

And a Twitter account has emerged that will get even the most hardened of fans a little bit emotional.

The account @LastEverTouch_ looks at legendary players’ last ever touch for a club.

There’s something strange about knowing that player wouldn’t touch the ball in that shirt ever again - when people at the time had no idea.

So far, the account has tweeted out a selection of videos and here are some of the best:

Philippe Coutinho for Liverpool

Nothing special about Coutinho’s final touch as he cuts inside Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi and passes to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Gareth Bale for Tottenham

Bale scored an incredible 89th-minute winner against Sunderland on the final day of the 2012/13 season. It wasn’t enough for Spurs to qualify for the Champions League, though, as the Welshman left for Real Madrid.

Alexis Sanchez for Arsenal

Sanchez won a free-kick from Andreas Christensen in his final touch for Arsenal before his nightmare move to Manchester United.

Santi Cazorla for Arsenal

Cazorla picked up an ankle injury whilst producing a stunning assist for Mesut Ozil in his final Arsenal match against Ludogorets Razgrad. Nobody knew back then that the midfielder would require eight operations on that ankle and warned he won’t be able to walk again.

Jamie Carragher for Liverpool

Just imagine if that had gone in on his final appearance for Liverpool…

Xabi Alonso for Liverpool

Alonso did what Carragher failed to do and score a screamer on his final Liverpool appearance. With his final touch.

Steven Gerrard for Liverpool

Gerrard will want to forget his final Liverpool match in which he lost 6-1 to Stoke. Although he did score and went very close with his final touch for the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid

Ronaldo was desperate to score in the 2018 Champions League but a sneaker running on the pitch when he was through meant that his final act in a Real Madrid shirt was a bizarre one. Nobody knew he would leave the club that summer.

Fernando Torres for Liverpool

Torres wasn’t the same after he left Liverpool for Chelsea. His final touch for the Reds saw him score against Wolves.

Luis Suarez for Liverpool

Not the greatest video but it's clear that Suarez was completely taken out in his final touch in a Liverpool shirt against Newcastle.

Paul Scholes for Manchester United

A beautiful clipped pass out to the right wing. Of course, it was.
