Conor McGregor has remarkably been offered the chance to fight Kamaru Usman by the Nigerian's manager.

Ali Abdelaziz, who has a lot of current UFC fighters under his umbrella, has offered the Irishman a shot at Usman's welterweight title, which means 'Notorious' could pick up his third title in a different weight class.

McGregor has already won the featherweight and lightweight belt in UFC, becoming the company's first ever champ-champ in the process.

Now, he could have the chance to win the welterweight title off of Usman this summer.

Although there's obvious talks of McGregor having a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov, or completing the trilogy with Nate Diaz, a fight with Usman would certainly be of interest to UFC president Dana White, and also fans of the sport.

McGregor returned to the Octagon in January, at welterweight it must be said, and he quick disposed of veteran Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone. He's also had two other fights at that level, winning one and losing one to the aforementioned Diaz.

Speaking about 'Notorious' and future plans for his client, Abdelaziz tweeted: "It looks like #1 contender wants to fight Nate Diaz now. Good for him. Conor McGregor hey you want a title shot ? Come to daddy, Usman will give you one and he promise first two rounds without takedowns only slaps."

Usman currently has a professional record of 16 wins and one loss, but strictly in UFC, he's undefeated.

He's had 10 fights in the company and he's won them all, defeating the likes of Colby Covington, Tyron Woodley and Rafael dos Anjos along the way.

He initially won the welterweight title from Woodley back in March 2019, before successfully defending it nine months later against Covington.

Of course, this should all be taken with a pinch of salt, as nothing is official yet, but it's exciting to see McGregor and Usman's name in the same sentence.

What a fight that would be!
