Hafthor ‘The Mountain’ Bjornsson once competed in an arm wrestling contest against professional armwrestler Devon Larratt - and was comprehensively beaten.

Bjornsson, who recently broke the world deadline record, locked hands with Larratt in 2015.

The Mountain would have hoped his weight advantage would see him to victory. He weight 419lb compared to Larratt’s 225lb.

But despite the near-200lb difference, Game of Thrones star Bjornsson was beaten as Larratt put his perfect technique to use.

The Canadian, nicknamed ‘No Limits’, proved that technique beats raw strength. He takes the first contest with ease, even taking the time to coach Bjornsson throughout the duel.

Larratt then beats Bjornsson left-handed and then in their third contest, he gives The Mountain an early advantage before rotating his elbow back to take the win.

Larratt may be half the size of the 6ft 9in Icelandic strongman but he’s still well built.

Best to stick to strongman, Bjornsson.

Or boxing. He is currently preparing to face longtime rival Eddie Hall in a boxing match next year in Las Vegas.

Or how about NFL? Bjornsson was recently asked by Yahoo Sports about switching to American football and he replied: “you never know”.

Or he can stick to arm wrestling and just not go up against a former arm wrestling champion.
