It's been over two months since the Premier League was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the league is edging towards a return.

There is hopes that the Premier League can resume next month, with June 19 one target date.

Plans to return accelerated even further on Wednesday afternoon as Premier League clubs approved the return of contact training.

And when it finally does return, football fans could be in for a treat.

According to the Mirror, the Premier League are planning to get the majority of the remaining 92 games shown over the course of weekends.

That means they are planning a 'TV bonanza' with 10 games played back-to-back every weekend until the end of the season.

Games will be played on Saturday and Sunday with the kick offs starting at 12 noon, then 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm.

Every game will be shown live on TV.

Broadcasters are also pushing to show midweek games in the style of the Champions League.

These games will be played at 6pm and 8pm.

It's been a tough few months for English football fans.

But it's set to return next month and, when it does, Premier League fans will have no shortage of football to watch.

We can't wait and we're sure you can't wait too.
