Infinity Ward have announced another double XP weekend for 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' and 'Warzone'.
With Season 4 set to arrive next week, this is a great chance to earn rewards from this Season’s Battle Pass before it’s too late.
The event will start around 6pm on Friday, May 29 and run until Monday, June 1.
“Double XP, Weapon XP, Double Battle Pass tier progression kicks off this Friday,” wrote Activision.
“Earn double the rewards when you jump into a Multiplayer match or drop into Warzone. See if you can earn this Season’s blueprint for maxing out your rank and unlock Alex ‘Indomitable’ skin at Tier 100 in the Battle Pass.”
There was also an update yesterday that introduced several revamped playlists to 'Modern Warfare', including 24/7 moshpits for Shipment and Shoot House.
Deathmatch Domination and Drop Zone now have their own playlists, while there’s several new Gunfight maps for Gun Game.
As for 'Warzone', the popular Battle Royale Trios Classic has been replaced by Plunder Quads – a decision that some fans aren’t happy with.
There’s lots of hype surrounding Season 4, especially after Activision confirmed the return of fan-favourite Captain Price as a playable character.
The new Season will also introduce new Campaign story, more Spec Ops experiences and “chaos in Verdansk” – an interesting addition to 'Warzone'.
“The quickening instability in Verdansk, following the fall of the Armistice, is becoming a bigger threat, maybe even bigger than Al-Qatala,” explained Activision.
“After an intercepted phone call between Target Denver and one of his elite soldiers, we learned of Armistice finally bringing out their ace in the hole: Task Force 141’s finest in Captain John Price and the final quad member he nominated to this Tier One group.”
