WWE news: Inside Rey Mysterio’s epic $1 million California mansion ahead of his ‘retirement’

Mysterio could be retiring from WWE this week

Rey Mysterio is set to 'retire from WWE' on Monday evening.

The news of his retirement ceremony was announced on RAW last week and has been shared across social media ever since.

But it should be noted this is almost certainly a 'work'.

Seth Rollins is set to host the festivities and it's likely just going to be a unique way to further the pair's feud ahead of June's Backlash pay-per-view.

It is true that Mysterio's WWE contract expires in a few months and he could choose to walk away from the company later this summer.

Equally, he could choose to re-sign, we'll just have to wait and see.

So, is Mysterio really going to retire on Monday then? Probably not.

But as the wrestling icon is trending right now, that gives us an excuse to revisit a video posted by WWE back in 2012, when he gave us a tour of his incredible home. Check it out:

Not bad at all. Let's talk about some of the most impressive features.

According to The Sun, Mysterio's million-dollar, 4,301 square-foot mansion in Chula Vista, San Diego boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms and it was built in 2004.

One of the first stops on his house tour is a massive fish tank which houses his array of tropical fish.

Next up, 'The Master of The 619' shows off his impressive sword collection, including blades he has sourced from around the world.

Perhaps the most impressive though is a 'prop' sword from Hollywood blockbuster The Scorpion King, which starred WWE legend Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

Mysterio's 'office' is packed full of toys and memorabilia he's picked up over the years, including classic action figures from his time in WWE and WCW.

The pro wrestling legend also boasts a beautiful living room, complete with stunning furniture, a grand piano and a marble fireplace.

A chandelier hangs above his dining room table, while the video also gives us a sneak peek of his garden, complete with a swimming pool.

Very nice indeed. If Mysterio really does retire on Monday night, he'll be comfortable living out the rest of his life in that beautiful, million-dollar California mansion.
