67% of football fans would rather take Barcelona's 'MSN' trio over Real Madrid's 'BBC'

Messi, Suarez and Neymar are more popular than Madrid's trio

Real Madrid vs Barcelona has always been one of football’s blockbuster fixtures.

But between 2014 and 2017 the rivalry was taken to a whole new level.

That’s because Spain’s two top teams had the two greatest forward trios in world football.

Los Blancos boasted Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo – informally known as ‘BBC’ – while Barca had ‘MSN’… Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Both front three’s were absolutely untouchable.

In three seasons together, ‘BBC’ scored 268 goals between them, while raking up 102 assists.

‘MSN’ managed a quite ridiculous total of 364 goals and 171 assists between 2014 and 2017.

Those are incredible numbers from both trios, but it’s clear the Barcelona boys are well in front when it comes to goal contributions.

MSN were untouchable for Barca

So, would football fans rather have Messi, Suarez and Neymar over Bale, Benzema and Cristiano?

That was the question GIVEMESPORT asked on Facebook this week and the results were overwhelming.

A massive 67% of supporters would rather have Barca’s MSN over BBC, with just 33% picking Madrid’s front three.

MSN were the popular choice

There was a total of 85,400 votes cast, proving this is a very popular debate.

It’s just a shame that Neymar decided to leave the Camp Nou in 2017, breaking up Barca’s iconic trio.

If reports are to be believed, he’s been pushing for a move back to Spain for quite some time, desperate to link back up with Messi and co.

Neymar could return to Barca one day

But would the numbers be the same if the Brazilian ever did come back?

Considering Messi and Suarez are now 32 and 33 respectively, it’s hard to imagine them netting as frequently as they did in their prime.

As for Real Madrid’s BBC trio – it’s almost impossible to see them all linking up again.

Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo will probably never play together again

Bale has one foot out of the door at the Bernabeu, Benzema is now 32 and Ronaldo is more than happy in Italy.

We really were blessed to see those six players go head to head in their prime. What a time it was.
