Cristiano Ronaldo has reached extraordinary heights in his career, and it was at Manchester United where he really honed his talents.Under the tutelage of Sir Alex Ferguson, the Portuguese forward learned to translate his immense skills into the finished product, and the result was a player who would go on to win five Ballon d’Or awards. He arrived in Manchester as a fresh-faced 18-year-old and left as a world-class talent with the world at his feet.It wasn’t just Ferguson who aided Ronaldo’s development, though. Sharing a dressing room with the likes of Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes meant he joined a group of true professionals who shared a common goal: winning.Ronaldo learned an awful lot from his coaches and teammates, and he gave something back upon his arrival from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.

To introduce their new signing, Ronaldo was sent to teach a few of the club’s young players his skills.

And among the group was a 10-year-old Jesse Lingard.

Teenage Ronaldo is seen in the video speaking about his strengths.

"I think it's just the way I play,” he says. “Ever since I was a youngster in Madeira, I've always been a player that enjoys taking someone on one-on-one."

"It's in my nature and I've always done this."

Lingard and his young pals must have cherished the moment. Who would have thought at the time that Ronaldo and Lingard would one day face each other in the Champions League, which is what happened when Man United took on Juventus in 2018?

Ronaldo’s skills were on display on a regular basis during his six years at Man United.

Today, he’s all about scoring. But if you ever want to watch a video of the old CR7 to see just how dazzling he was, then click HERE.
