Leeds United are hopeful of extending the loan deal of Jack Harrison.

The Manchester City winger has spent the season on loan at Elland Road and has been a crucial part of the side who find themselves on the cusp of promotion to the Premier League.

With just nine fixtures remaining, Marcelo Bielsa's side are currently seven points clear of the play-off spots, meaning that a return to the top flight is very much on track.

Once the season restarts, Leeds will need to put together a strong run of results in order to get themselves over the line - something that Jack Harrison is bound to be crucial to.

The 23-year-old's loan deal is due to expire at the end of the month, however according to Football Insider it seems that the Whites are confident of extending that deal until the day that the Championship season finally comes to an end.

Leeds United also hold an option to make his loan switch permanent at the end of the season.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

News that a deal is expected to be agreed for Jack Harrison is a huge boost for Leeds United.

The Man City man has been a key part of Marcelo Bielsa's plans this term, with the 23-year-old starting all 37 league games so far.

Leeds United are in a strong place for securing promotion to the Premier League this term, but the job isn't done yet.

In order for them to get over the line they'll need all of their players at the time of their game, and that includes Jack Harrison.

The Leeds fans will certainly breathe a huge sigh of relief when this deal is done as they know that Harrison could have a crucial role to play in the home straight of this promotion push.
