Charlie Adam has backed Rangers to make a move for Charlton Athletic striker Lyle Taylor in the summer, per talkSPORT.
The 30-year-old has been in excellent form for the Addicks this season, scoring 11 goals in 22 Championship games, per Transfermarkt.
That comes after a season in which he scored 21 League One goals en route to the promotion of Lee Bowyer's side.
However, his contract expires at the end of this season and Adam believes that both Rangers and Celtic could look to pounce and take him north of the border.
Taylor has previously played in Scotland, with Falkirk in the 2012-13 season and later with Partick Thistle. In total, he netted 11 goals in 35 games in the Scottish Premiership.
And Reading star Adam, a former Gers midfielder, thinks that he could be heading back north once his deal expires.
He said: “We played Charlton earlier in the season and I never knew who Lyle Taylor was.
“He played against us that day and he tore us apart. I was like, ‘this kid is good’, and I never realised he’s 30!
“He’s a good player and it wouldn’t surprise me, just throwing it out there, if Rangers or Celtic try and take him because he’s out of contract.
“He’ll have a few options in the Championship too, and maybe a Premier League club would even take him because of his goalscoring record over the last few years.
“He’s in a good position, and that’s what his agent will be saying to him.”

Adam is right that Taylor holds all the cards here.
Charlton are currently locked in a relegation battle at the bottom end of the Championship; if they drop through the trap door, Taylor could well look to move on.
A switch to Rangers or Celtic would see him play continually, and also give him the chance to once again prove himself in Scotland.
The question, then, is whether Steven Gerrard's men will want him but he has scored goals throughout his career and would bolster their front line.
It makes all the sense in the world for both parties.
