For almost three decades, The Undertaker was the most protected athlete in the world.
He was WWE's most mysterious figure, never breaking kayfabe outside of the ring or doing interviews and appearances out of character.
But ever so slowly, Undertaker - or Mark Calaway - is beginning to pull back the curtain on his life and allow fans to see the real him.
He joined social media in 2018 and earlier this year, the WWE Network began airing their 'Last Ride' documentary series about The Deadman.
Of course, long before that, Calaway married fellow WWE legend Michelle McCool and started a family, who are featured in this new series.
Speaking recently, he revealed some 'hardcore' Undertaker fans hated the idea of seeing The Undertaker on social media and even resented Michelle for marrying him.
"One of the first things I did out of character [on social media] was I posted about the Longhorns winning the Sugar bowl," Calaway told The Bill Simmons Podcast.
"I'm scrolling through comments and I see 'My childhood is ruined, The Undertaker is now on social media'.
"You've got to be s****ing me. People were genuinely p***** I broke character after 30 years.
"People hate Michelle cause she's married to me. People didn't want to see that, all they wanted was what I gave them or more."
That sounds utterly bizarre, doesn't it? There are still some fans that think the man behind The Undertaker shouldn't be living a real life.
Despite that, Calaway isn't upset with those people, who he calls 'loyal' and 'protective'.
"My fan base has been very loyal especially when you consider how long I've been here. Like my fan base has stayed with me and obviously they've had children now," he continued.
"But they're very possessive and protective of The Undertaker."
Sure, 'Taker was part of so many people's childhoods and sometimes it is a little disappointing to pull back the curtain on something so mysterious.
But for most fans, The Last Ride documentary offers a completely different insight into Calaway's life and there's no denying it's been a real hit for WWE.
