Ally McCoist has urged Celtic to cash in on Odsonne Edouard this summer.

The striker has been in stunning form once again after scoring 21 goals in 27 appearances as the Bhoys secured another league title.

Those performances have certainly led to increased interest in the 22-year-old with several clubs in the English Premier League said to be interested.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester are among those who are said to be keen, with the striker seemingly ready to challenge himself at a higher level.

Celtic fans will clearly be reluctant to lose a striker of Edouard's ilk, but according to McCoist, the time is right for the striker to move on.

Speaking on talkSPORT, as quoted by Glasgow Live, McCoist said: "The tell-tale sign, I'm reading a few of the Celtic boys, and they are coming out and asking him not to move, to wait another year.

"No way, I'm clearly of the opposite opinion, get him away, and if he goes to Leicester or Arsenal, I tell you what, they will be getting a right top player."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

There's no doubt that the opinion of Ally McCoist will not go down well with the Celtic supporters.

That said, I'm that most will have accepted that Odsonne Edouard is likely to move on this summer.

The 22-year-old is more than ready try his hand in a better standard of league, and while this will be frustrating for supporters, I don't think that many can contest it.

He certainly appears to have all of the attributes to be a success in the Premier League, and should be complete a move to England then I'm sure he will kick on to another level.
