Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to climb into the Champions League places when Premier League football returns.
Project Restart has decreed that football will be back on June 17, a Wednesday, with Sheffield United taking on Aston Villa and Manchester City playing Arsenal.
On the subsequent Friday, Spurs could be playing Manchester United and they will be looking to cut the gap to the top four.
At the time of the league’s suspension due to COVID-19, they sat seven points behind Chelsea in fourth and four behind United in fifth.
There is, of course, the potential of qualifying for the Champions League through a fifth-placed finish due to City’s suspension from next season’s competition.

Spurs apply for loan
So, this one isn’t transfer related, but it’s a big one.
Per The Daily Mirror, the club has taken out a loan of £175m from the Bank of England as they look to balance the books amid the ongoing pandemic.
They are estimating revenue losses of £200m and the loan is not designed to be used on player purchases, so don’t expect there to be a war chest handed to Jose Mourinho this summer.
The report claims that Spurs are the only Premier League club to apply for such financial help, even though Manchester United were eligible to do so.
Of course, Spurs previously utilised the government’s furlough scheme.
No Bale deal
Gareth Bale won’t be returning to the Premier League, according to his agent, Jonathan Barnett, per Radio 4 via Football.London.
The Real Madrid winger left Spurs to move to the Santiago Bernabeu in a then-world record deal, but his future has often been up for debate.
Spurs were linked with a move for Bale in the January transfer window; The Times claimed they attempted to negotiate an audacious deal to bring him back to north London.
Barnett, though, has closed the door on that possibility, saying: "As I've always said, he's quite happy at Madrid. He has a very nice lifestyle, I don't see why he wouldn't see his career out in Madrid probably.
"It's his life that he wants to lead. Financially he will want enough for the rest of his life and all his children and grandchildren. He's won nearly everything in the world except the World Cup.
"To come back and play [in the Premier League] would be a big thing but I don't think he wants to do that at the moment as he's quite happy to play at Real Madrid."
Spurs “dazzled” by Coutinho
Spurs’ interest in Philippe Coutinho has gone somewhat back-and-forth in the media, with Mundo Deportivo, via Sport Witness, previously claiming that Jose Mourinho was not interested in signing the Brazil international this summer.
Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona but the same outlet, again via Sport Witness, have now contradicted that claim, insisting that Spurs “aspire” to bring him in on loan in the summer.
There is no interest in trying to sign the former Liverpool ace on a permanent deal but Spurs are said to have been “dazzled” by Coutinho’s performances whenever they have played against him.
This one is likely to run and run.
Foyth set to depart
Juan Foyth, per Argentine newspaper El Dia via Sport Witness, is set to leave Spurs this summer.
The defender joined the club in 2017 but is now set to depart, as his entourage are reportedly analysing offers that have been received for his services.
The report states that Barcelona and Leeds United have both been linked with Foyth, along with a number of Serie A clubs, but it remains to be seen where he will end up.
Indeed, he has struggled for minutes this season, playing just four times in the Premier League, per Transfermarkt.
