Arsenal news round-up: Kieran Tierney to Leicester and a move for Chelsea's Willian

It may have been over two months since we've seen Arsenal play, but that doesn't mean that the work has stopped.

Mikel Arteta has been working his players hard during the enforced break from action with each player having a personalised training programme to get stuck into at home.

The squad are now back at London Colney and preparing for a return to top flight action in just over two weeks time.

Plenty is going on off the pitch as well as the club look ahead to next season and start to eye up potential summer additions.

Here are the latest news stories to come out of Emirates Stadium in the last 24 hours.

Arsenal's Kieran Tierney tipped to join Leicester City

Duncan Castles has tipped Kieran Tierney to move to Leicester City this summer.

The Foxes are expected to lose Ben Chilwell to Chelsea, and speaking on The Transfer Window Podcast, the reporter says that it's a sign of how far Arsenal have fallen.

He said: "Tierney has struggled through injury, and with the managerial changes at Arsenal as well.

"So when you're looking at a player who has struggled in that first season like that, was bought for a substantial fee, he's at a club that has money problems.

"They do need to make changes to their squad and they need to find revenue to do that.

"So in normal circumstances you would say there's no chance of getting a player in from Arsenal who was bought for a substantial fee and was part of the most recent rebuild.

"But perhaps in these circumstances a deal would be viable for Leicester."

'Arsenal have a decision-making problem' says Charlie Nicholas'

Charlie Nicholas believes that Arsenal have a lot to answer for in the way they make big decisions around the club.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I don't think they have an identity problem.

"The reality is for years and years, even under Arsene Wenger, we sold Patrick Vieira, we sold Thierry Henry and most of our big players. There was nothing wrong with change, but we sold them quite young when we weren't perhaps going to get the full benefit of them.

"We let Aaron Ramsey's contract run down and at the age of 28, we let him leave for nothing. We've had a problem at the top level for a long time. It goes as far back as David Dein not being present any more.

"We have a problem identifying the players and then what we did was start paying £30m for Shkodran Mustafi and defenders who have not cut it for Arsenal. We've been buying wrong and the players have realised they're not a threat to the Premier League and the Champions League.

"The Arsenal hierarchy have got it all wrong. If Aubameyang does go, he'll want to go to a club that can win trophies. It's the same as what Robin van Persie did. Arsenal haven't got an identity problem, they've got a decision-making policy problem, and it has to be sorted at the top end."

Arsenal 'prepared to give Willian 3-year deal to leave Chelsea'

Arsenal are ready to hand William a three-year contract to tempt him away from Chelsea, according to Bleacher Report.

The Brazilian looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer with the club reluctant to offer him more than a one-year deal to stay in West London.

The report claims that with Arsenal preparing to lose Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, the club are willing to go all out to bring the forward to the Emirates Stadium.
