Chelsea have somewhat dominated the headlines in the past 24 hours.

The Blues appear to have pulled off an astonishing coup by agreeing a deal to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig; the striker is set to join in the summer and will link up with fellow new signing Hakim Ziyech at Stamford Bridge.

That news comes after multiple reports linking Werner with Liverpool instead but he will be playing in west London next season, rather than on Merseyside.

One has to wonder, then, about what else is going on in the world of the Blues.

Chelsea interested in Chilwell

The Blues aren’t resting on their laurels this summer.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the club are currently in talks with Leicester City over a deal for Ben Chilwell.

The England international is said to be aware of Frank Lampard’s interest in him and is keen to move to Stamford Bridge.

However, the Blues also have an eye on Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico in case the Chilwell deal collapses.

It remains to be seen whether they will be able to negotiate a deal with Leicester, of course, but they certainly seem ready to try.

Chelsea also eyeing Havertz

Well, why not?

Christian Falk, the Head of Sport at German publication Bild, replied to a fan’s Twitter question asking if Chelsea were interested in any German players.

And Falk replied, writing: "True: Chelsea is also interested in Kai Havertz."

The Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 15 goals, and has also been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Bringing him in might just be unfair; Werner, Havertz and Ziyech in the same frontline would be mouthwatering to say the least.

Aouar being monitored

And here’s the hat-trick.

ESPN reported on Friday that the Blues are interested in signing Lyon central midfielder Houssem Aouar.

They aren’t alone though; Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the France U21 international, as are Juventus.

He has the ability to play in various positions across the midfield and is still only 21.

According to the report, he’d cost around £45 million.
