Highly rated Swedish midfielder Kristoffer Olsson is on the verge of completing a move to Arsenal according to the Daily Mail.

The 15-year-old star, who is currently on the books of IFK Norrkoping has undergone a number of trials at the Emirates Stadium under the watchful eye of Arsene Wenger and his Gunners coaches.

Olsson excelled in his initial trial period last November, featuring for Arsenal's under-18 side. And before flying back to North London for a second spell in February, he told reporters in the Swedish media:

"I never thought I would hear from them, but my agent said they were very impressed with me."

With the player looking to land a youth scholarship contract at the Emirates next season, Olsson was keen to impress the Arsenal hierarchy during his second opportunity – something that he looks to have successfully achieved.

Olsson's agent Per Jonsson confirmed, "They (Arsenal) want him - he has been over a few times and really made an impression.

"It's up to the clubs to agree and also the personal contract, but Arsenal really want this to go through - that's 100 per cent certain."

With a transfer fee in the region of £200,000 being touted in the English press, a summer move to the Barclays Premier League with Arsenal looks increasingly likely for one of the hottest prospects to come out of Sweden in recent years.
