Cody Garbrandt is officially back after his brutal knockout win over Raphael Assuncao last night in the co-main event of UFC 250.Cody connected just as the horn sounded, which not only sounded the end of the round, but the end of the fight.Twitter user '@copypastechris' has posted slowed down footage of the knockout blow and it’s mental. What is so amazing about this knockout is that Cody was basically on the floor before connecting with that deadly looking right hook. The commentator notes how Cody does not take his eye off Assuncao as he swings, making him look like a real predator.Cody doesn’t even follow the hook up, fair enough the horn sounded to end the round, but the hook really did not need following up, Assuncao was clearly out and not fighting back. The knockout has even received praise from Mike Tyson, who posted on Twitter saying: “Congrats Cody Garbrandt on your comeback knockout 2nite.”Last night’s win for Garbrandt ended a very frustrating three-and-a-half years for the American, after he had suffered injuries and had three successive defeats. The win was Cody’s first since he defeated Dominic Cruz for the bantamweight championship back in December 2016.The amazing knockout deservedly earned Cody Performance of the Night and now fans are pondering what might be next for the former bantamweight champion. And here it is in real time if you wanted to watch it again...

Many are hoping that we will see Garbrandt and Cruz go at it again and then hopefully see Cody go on to win back the bantamweight title.

Cody had an astronomical rise in UFC after competing in the Ultimate Fighter as part of Uriah Faber’s American team.

It took just four fights for Cody to go from being an unranked fighter to bantamweight champion. Hopefully, this win will put Cody back in the title picture.
