As you will probably know, the release date for 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare''s Season 4 content was delayed due to the current global issues related to racial injustice.
The developers announced early last week that the update would be pushed back so that the voices promoting "equality, justice and change" could be heard, without being overshadowed by a content drop.
We have not yet heard from the 'CoD' team exactly when they plan to release the update, but data miners have revealed a potential release date, and it's not too far away at all.
According to Twitter user Geekypastimes, as per PCGamesN, mining the files of Season 3 content has revealed that the end date for this season has been pushed back to June 10. This means that the transition from Season 3 to Season 4 content will occur at the usual time, on that date.
For Europeans, this will be on the morning of June 10, and the evening of June 9 for American players.
While we don't so far have any concrete knowledge of what goodies Season 4 will bring, data miners have also revealed that we will likely be receiving at least three new weapons: the Galil, Vector and the APC9.
It also seems that the update will include the classic Modern Warfare 2 map Scrapyard as well as a new operator, which is looking likely to be the one and only Captain Price.
As well as the delay of Season 4, Infinity War has also stepped up its efforts to tackle racism in the Modern Warfare community. This includes the addition of new filters, making it easier for users to report bad names, and increasing the number of permanent bans that they hand out, to hopefully remove any repeat offenders for good.
It's fantastic to see developers across the industry taking a stand against racial injustice, but it doesn't look like we have much longer to wait before we have new content to sink our teeth into.
