Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City are all closely watching Palermo striker Edinson Cavani, with the 24 year old scoring a hat trick for loan club Napoli in their 4-3 win over Lazio on the weekend before the scout’s very eyes.
The Metro is reporting that scouts from all three top flight clubs were noticed at the match between Lazio and Napoli, and each was suitably impressed with Cavani’s form.
The Metro has put a price tag on Cavani of around £25 million, which is not doing favours for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
But while Arsenal might not be able to afford Cavani, Manchester City certainly can, and are reportedly looking into getting new strikers in the summer, with Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez rumoured to be still wanting to leave for Argentina and fellow striker Mario Balotelli unable to curb his bad behavior.
But Tottenham can’t be discounted from the equation just yet, though Spurs' budget and attractiveness as a club will all depend on whether Tottenham can qualify for Champions League or not.
