NXT TakeOver revived one of the staples of WWE's Attitude Era on Sunday night.
The pay-per-view was branded as an In Your House event - the first since the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in February 1999.
But why?
Well, 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of the first namesake show from 1995 and WWE decided to celebrate that.
In Your House branding has not being used for 21 years, but NXT TakeOver offered fans a real throwback to the Attitude Era.
Most notably, the famous set returned. In keeping with tradition, a house stood at the top of the entrance ramp and Superstars made their entrances through the front door or the garage.
As you can imagine, the set was used in a number of spots.

NXT TakeOver wouldn't have been a true In Your House event without the legendary American radio DJ Todd Pettengill, who returned to promote the show.
He offered his famous voice to introduce the event - a brilliant call back on WWE's behalf.
There was even a hilarious segment where D-Generation X tried to figure out AOL Messenger - technology has moved on, guys!
Era-appropriate promo packages were also featured throughout the show, helping to give it a nostalgic feel, while the NXT Championship match had a real Attitude Era feel.
Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream battled in a Last Chance Backlot Brawl match which, as you can probably guess, took place outside of the venue in the parking lot.
As far as gimmick matches go, it was pretty exciting. There were plenty of crazy spots, a lot of interference and even some blood - very vintage!
NXT TakeOver was a real treat for WWE fans, offering a throwback to events we really miss and the PPV went down very well on social media.

Given the success of NXT's first In Your House event, don't bet against seeing it again in future!
