Rangers are looking to sign hotly tipped starlet Rhian Brewster on loan this summer.
That’s according to the Scottish Sun who claim the Liverpool striker could be farmed out for an entire campaign next season.
The forward is currently on loan at Swansea where he has scored four times after joining the Championship outfit for a temporary stay during the second half of the campaign.
He has netted a total of nine goals across all competitions during the 2019/20 term but any sign of regular first-team football in Merseyside seems unlikely given the imperious attack Liverpool have at their disposal.
Brewster has previously played under Rangers manager Steven Gerrard in the Reds’ academy which could be a particularly alluring aspect for the 20-year-old. Though, the prospect of European football at Ibrox could also swing it.
That’s the fear of Swansea boss Steve Cooper who would like to bring him back to Wales according to the same report.

Alfredo Morelos has found the back of the net just once this calendar year and there always seem to be worries that he could depart. After all, there were regular links in January with the Premier League.
Jermain Defoe’s fitness has been patchy so the idea of signing someone of Brewster’s calibre is a wise one.
After all, this is a player hailed in the same light as Robbie Fowler and also described as exceptional by Dan Seymour, someone that’s known Brewster since he was seven years of age.
The youngster has been catching the eye for quite some time after finishing as the top scorer in the tournament when England won the U17 World Cup in 2017.
His pedigree speaks for itself, certainly in front of goal. That being said, Rangers better hope he doesn’t end up like another Red, Sheyi Ojo. He scored just five times in 36 matches this season.
