Neymar is one of the most divisive footballers on the planet.

While few - if anyone - deny the Brazilian's brilliance with the ball at his feet, Neymar has sparked controversy throughout his career with his attitude.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar has a reputation for diving and feigning injury, issues which culminated in him becoming public enemy number one at the 2018 World Cup.

There is also a school of thought that Neymar is 'disrespectful' on the pitch. The former Barcelona man is capable of producing almost superhuman skills and routinely embarrasses opposing players with them.

Undoubtedly the most controversial trick in his repertoire is the 'rainbow flick'. No one pulls it off better than Neymar, but some will argue; is it necessary?

Well, if you can perform it as good as the Brazilian does and it gets the ball past the defender, then Neymar has every right to do it.

But that hasn't stopped Neymar's rainbow flick victims from trying to snap him half as revenge.

One fan on Twitter has created a video showing the various reactions to the 28-year-old performing his trademark move and spoiler alert - it never goes down well!

Santos, Barcelona, Brazil and PSG, wherever Neymar plays he just can't resist skilfully launching the ball over someone's head.

The incident in the video against Montpellier earlier in the year actually saw the Brazilian booked by the referee for unsportsmanlike behaviour - which is just utter madness.

After his antics against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final in 2015, Neymar was forced to defend his style of play and love for the rainbow flick.

"This is football, in football these things happen," Neymar said, per ESPN. "It is incredible. They can get angry, but that is my style of play, and I have been playing like that for many years. I will not change my style of play due to what other players think."

Neymar vs Liverpool

Fair play to the guy. Why he receives such hate for being arguably the most skilful player on the planet is a bit of a mystery.

After all, football is about entertainment...
