Tyson Fury's journey as a professional boxer has been quite something.

The Manchester-born fighter saw off stubborn opposition early in his career, overcoming the likes of Steven Cunningham, Dereck Chisora (x2) and Christian Hammer.

In 2015, he was rewarded for his perseverance with a title shot against Wladimir Klitschko and Fury stunned the world by schooling Dr. Steelhammer in Dusseldorf.

Fury's personal life then spiralled out of control as he battled with depression, but the Gypsy King is now back at the very top after dethroning Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas in February, capping one of sport's greatest ever comebacks.

It's been some journey and there have certainly been some hilarious moments along the way, none more so than in Fury's fourth professional bout against Lee Swaby in Birmingham.

The Gypsy King prevailed with ease in the fight after Swaby retired in his corner during the fourth, but Fury also managed to punch himself in the face.

We're not joking either. With his opponent on the ropes, Fury attempted a powerful uppercut, only to see his punch skid off Swaby's head and straight back into his own face.

It's been over 11 years since the incident and it still gets better with every viewing.

Those watching the fight live or on ITV 4 at the time would never have predicted that the same Fury would reign supreme over the heavyweight division.

Back in 2018, BT Sport sat the Gypsy King down to re-watch some of his viral videos and - of course - the Swaby fight cropped up.

"Reason behind it was, I was in a fight and couldn't really feel the other guy's punches to I decided to punch my own self in the face," Fury says while re-watching the clip.

We're not buying that excuse, Tyson!

Especially after seeing the damage your punches inflicted upon Wilder...
