NXT TakeOver: In Your House went down well with a lot of WWE fans. Many were very excited to see the Attitude Era PPV format return on Sunday and the action inside the ring was quality too.But not everyone was impressed by what they saw from the black-and-yellow brand. Randy Orton fired shots at the NXT roster on social media, in the form of a backhanded compliment. "Heard NXT TakeOver In Your House was great! Slappin' my leg for you guys. Sincerely #legslap," he tweeted. That, of course, mocks wrestlers who slap their legs during matches to make noise for kicks. NXT star Tommasso Ciampa didn't take kindly to Orton's message, hitting back with one of his own shortly after. "My daughter has been having trouble sleeping. Luckily I found a remedy. Randy Orton matches. Better than NyQuil. Sincerely #AnEntireLockerRoomWhoBustedTheirAsses," he wrote. Before long, the pair were involved in an all-out Twitter war, with The Viper saying:"Looks like I hurt the feelings of the self-appointed locker room leader of a wrestling school. Let me know what time #legslap class starts so I can take my game to the next level."

Even Orton's wife Kim got involved, firing another shot at Ciampa.

"Isn’t that the same guy who took credit for all those ‘great matches’ that he DIDNT put together?"

Brutal. As of writing, NXT's Blackheart hasn't responded any further, but it may only be a matter of time before he does.

It's well known that a number of WWE stars and legends have taken issue with performers slapping their legs during matches, so Orton's criticism could be genuine.

Orton and Ciampa went at it on social media

But, there's a chance this could also be a work, building a future feud between him and Ciampa. Only time will tell, but it's certainly going to be interesting to see if this goes further.
