Everton are eyeing a move for St Etienne’s Denis Bouanga, according to le10sport.

The left winger has been in fine form for the Ligue 1 club this season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions and also providing five assists.

Indeed, his performances have not gone unnoticed; he has been the subject of a €12m (£10.7m) bid from Stade Rennais, which St Etienne continue to evaluate.

Everton, too, are said to have placed Bouanga on their shortlist as they look to bring in a new attacker.

They have yet to make a bid, but the report claims that it is only a matter of time, and St Etienne are hopeful that such an offer could push the forward’s price up.

A Gabon international, Bouanga has a contract that runs until 2023.

GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…

Bouanga appears to be an excellent prospect.

While he is 25, he is beginning to peak and has been enjoying a productive season in the French top-flight.

He scored eight goals last season, too, albeit in a poorer team, as he played for Nimes last term.

He is no stranger to making transfers, then, and it appears that this could well be the time for him to make his move.

His stock is as high as it has ever been and one can understand why Everton are interested.

It remains to be seen if any bid will meet Etienne’s requirements, but any approach would be totally logical for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
