A YouTube video has attempted to show why 'Call of Duty: Warzone'’s PC players have an advantage over their console opponents.
The video, posted by user eVCephei earlier this month, shows how PC players have a wider field of view and are more likely to see opponents than those playing on consoles.
In the video, a console player’s view is seen first. The player ultimately dies while being unable to see who is shooting at them on the roof.
Then, a PC player’s view is seen which shows the shooter in full view as a result of the wider field.
The difference in field of view means PC players are likely to have an advantage as they can avoid opponents and spot others more easily.
The video has been viewed over 127,000 times in a week. Responding to it, one YouTube user said: “This is indeed a situation that needs to be fixed. I totally agree as a PC player. “
Another said: “And this is why streamers who play with a controller play on PC now.”
The issue has not been addressed by the game’s creators just yet, but it seems there’s strong demand for changes to be made.
While the issue doesn’t impact gameplay too badly, it could change the way certain players view the game and maybe even make them change from console to PC.
Other users stated in the comments that they use their PC-playing friends to alert them to threats or traps when gaming, such is the difference between the two methods.
'Warzone' reached 50 million players last month, making it one of the top Battle Royale games around at the moment.
The game’s fourth season was recently postponed by Activision and Infinity Ward to show support for the Black Lives Matter protests. It is unclear when the season will officially be released, but it’s rumoured to be this week.
