Leicester City could be preparing for Ben Chilwell to leave the club with the news that they're tracking Nicolas Tagliafico.

According to The Mirror, the Ajax defender is at the top of their list should they need to recruitment a replacement for the England star.

Chilwell has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this season as Frank Lampard looks to bolster his defensive line.

Manchester City are also said to be keen as they look to rectify their own frailties.

The report claims that Leicester are refusing to set an asking price for the 23-year-old, but that an offer of over £80million could be enough to convince them to sell.

That would be more than enough to find a suitable replacement, with Le10Sport recently suggesting that would cost around £25million.

The 27-year-old has two years left on his contract with Ajax, where he has established himself as their first choice left-back in their run to the competition's semi-finals last season.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Another summer, another key Leicester City player heading for the exit door.

Although in fairness to them, it hasn't done them any harm.

The Foxes have continued to improve every year and are now in a position where they can genuinely be considered as top four contenders every year.

Should Leicester get an offer of £80million for Ben Chilwell, the challenge for them will be using that money to find a suitable replacement, and using the rest of the money to help build the rest of the squad.

They've done it with N'Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez and Harry Maguire to name a few, and they can do it again.
