One of the best kinds of climax in all of sport and entertainment is the finishing move of a wrestling match.

There are many things in this world of competition that we jump for, but there are few things like seeing a beautiful move handsomely executed, then hearing the crowd react.

The variety is also amazing as well. You can see an amazing submission hold, a quick move done out of nowhere, or showmanship at its finest in the lead up to the devastating maneuver.

Seeing all this to be the truth, Bleacher Report has decided from the cheering section to give us a list of the 10 most devastating finishers in wrestling since 2000!

Here is the list in full, and be sure to let us know if your favourite makes it, or if it just misses out!

10. Batista Bomb

A beautiful sit down Powerbomb. Batista used this to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H at WrestleMania 21. He then would use it to vanquish foes such as Booker T, Edge, and many others throughout his WWE career.

9. Stone Cold Stunner

This move dominated the 90's, and was a huge part in the Austin-McMahon fued that helped the WWE pull away from WCW in the Monday Night War. The quick nature of this move made it lethal, and while it was amazing, was only seen during one full year of competition in the 2000's due to injury. However, we love seeing it happen every now and then at special events these days.

8. Rock Bottom

While he is now body-slamming Hollywood, The Rock used to use this move to put people away when he was THE guy in WWE. The devastating side slam finished multiple people en route to The Rock winning eight WWE titles. So electrifying!

7. Tombstone Piledriver

The Tombstone is used by multiple wrestlers, such as Kane and Kazuchika Okada. However, most of its fame comes from The Undertaker. The Deadman came on the scene many years ago with this finisher, and has put away a whole host of legends with it.

6. Sweet Chin Music

Shawn Michaels tuned up the band for years with this entry as Sweet Chin Music would send the snack of the chin all throughout the arena whenever hit. The best part of the finisher is that he could add showmanship by playing to the crowd through stomping his foot over and over again, or just pop it out of nowhere to win the match.

5. Pedigree

You knew once you saw Triple H hit this move, it was game over (pun intended). The King of Kings has become one of the best of all time with his cunning ways, his manipulation, and his mind games all leading up to the match. He would then end the whole rivalry with one the most devastating moves in sports entertainment history.

4. Attitude Adjustment

The elevated fireman carry formerly known as the F-U has carried John Cena to prominence for almost two decades. The 16-time world champion has enjoyed plenty of success from this move, and though WWE his career is slowing down, he will always be remembered as the face that runs the place.

3. RKO

This entry comes out of nowhere (another pun intended). But in all seriousness, this is an amazing move that can be hit from all different angles, and in many different ways. Ask people like Seth Rollins, who suffered a devastating RKO at WrestleMania 31, or Evan Bourne... nothing quite like an RKO from Outta Nowhere.

2. F-5

When your finisher kills The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania, you get a spot on this list. Brock Lesnar has been dominating the competition for years using the devastating move and will probably be back to try and reclaim the WWE championship soon. The power Brock puts behind this finisher is phenomenal, and it definitely deserves a place on this list.

1. The Spear

And the winner is…. the spear! This may be doubted by some people, but if you look at the evidence, it should be celebrated and put at the top of this list. Many superstars such as Goldberg, Edge, Bobby Lashley and now Roman Reigns have added this move to their arsenal. Many championships have been won through this move by many athletes in the ring, which is why it is number one.
