Tottenham are one of a number of clubs to make an enquiry for Real Madrid’s Achraf Hakimi.

The right-back is currently enjoying a two-year loan spell with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund but will return to Madrid in the summer.

However, it doesn’t look as though he’ll be staying in the Spanish capital for too long with Spurs, Manchester City and Chelsea all after the dynamic defender.

90min have revealed that Dortmund are desperate to sign the 21-year-old but will face wide-ranging competition if Madrid decide to sell the loanee.

Inter, Juventus and PSG are also reportedly keeping a close eye on the full-back so it remains to be seen whether a side like Spurs will be priced out of a deal.

A player who can also feature as a wing-back, he’s racked up ten assists in the Bundesliga this term. Transfermarkt rate him at £48.6m so he won't come cheap.

GIVE ME SPORT’S Matt Dawson says...

Hakimi is easily one of the most exciting defenders in world football right now and it would speak volumes about Real Madrid’s firepower if they so easily let him slip through their grasp.

The Moroccan recently set a new record as the fastest player ever in the Bundesliga, clocking up a speed of 22.49mph in their 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig, while his nine goals is a testament to his wonderful attacking abilities.

The Times claimed today that Serge Aurier could be one of the players to walk through the exit door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and there couldn’t be a more ideal replacement than Hakimi.

He is a player blessed with genuine quality, possessing speed that could frighten any defender. On top of that, he is just four assists behind Trent Alexander-Arnold this term, a defender renowned for his ability to create chances.

If Spurs can beat the likes of Man City and PSG to his signature, they will have pulled off a serious coup.
