Leicester City are interested in a summer move for Celtic's Kristoffer Ajer, according to Calcio Mercato. The 22-year-old has established himself as a key member of Neil Lennon's side since arriving at the club in 2016.Since then the Norwegian international has made 129 appearances for the Bhoys and played a part in the club's recent success of winning eight trophies in that time. That has led to reports of interest from the Premier League, as well as from Italy where giants AC Milan are also thought to be keen.

A move to Serie A could be hugely appealing for the defender, who could be tempted of a move to one of Europe's biggest clubs.

Milan are in a period of transition at the moment but have aspirations of taking themselves back to the top of the game where they dominated for so many years.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

It will be incredibly hard for Kristoffer Ajer to ignore the interest in him this summer.

AC Milan are one of the biggest names in world football, and that in itself is a very attractive proposition.

However the chance to move to Leicester will surely be ideal.

As well as joining a side who are on the verge of finishing third in the Premier League, Ajer would be linking up with his former manager Brendan Rodgers - a boss whom he thoroughly enjoyed working under while in Glasgow.

Ajer has all of the attributes to be a success in the Premier League, and this is certainly one that will be interesting to monitor.
