Chelsea are yet to make a formal approach for Kai Havertz, according to Liam Twomey of The Athletic.Speculation has been building over the future of the 20-year-old who is said to be attracting the interest of clubs such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Daily Mail reported that the Blues are looking to tie up a move for the Bayer Leverkusen skipper as they look to take a proactive approach in the summer market. It's claimed that a move could cost in the region of £75million - a significant outlay considering the early business that Chelsea have already completed. That includes agreed deals for Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. These deals will cost a substantial sum, and according to Twomey, this means that Frank Lampard's side have not seen fit to make a formal move for the talented midfielder.

He tweeted: "Havertz: As reported elsewhere, Chelsea like him but so do a lot of other top clubs.

"No one has made a move to sign him yet."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

The transfer window isn't even open and we're already gripped by what is going on.

Chelsea have been quickest out of the blocks with two huge signings all-but wrapped up, and it seems that they aren't finished yet.

In fact, they're only just getting started.

If they can tie up a deal for Kai Havertz that would one heck of a coup - especially if they are beating some of Europe's biggest clubs to the punch.
