Leeds United handed Jean-Kevin Augustin injury blow

Leeds United have been dealt a big injury blow as preparations for the promotion run-in continue.

The Whites are eagerly awaiting the return of the Championship as they look to finish the job of returning to the Premier League, however they may have to do it without a key man.

Jean-Kevin Augustin is a doubt for the run-in after suffering a hamstring strain, according to Phil Hay of The Athletic.

He tweeted: "Hearing that Jean-Kevin Augustin has suffered a recurrence of his hamstring strain.

"Not confirmed by Leeds but sounds like a set-back for him."

Adam Forshaw shares confident Leeds United prediction

Adam Forshaw has said that he's 'convinced' that Leeds United will go on the secure promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites are seven points clear of the play-off spots with just nine games to go.

Their destiny is very much in the hands of Marcelo Bielsa's squad, and the injured star is adamant that the Whites have what it takes.

Speaking on the Leeds That podcast, Forshaw said: "I’m convinced (Leeds are going to get promoted). I’m not just saying that, or being biased because we’re all Leeds. There will be nobody as driven as us.

"I know how we train behind-closed-doors.

"I think it's going to be a formality for us. That's my personal view. I think we'll romp it."

'Ben White good enough to play for Liverpool'

Adam Forshaw has also had his say on the future of Ben White, suggesting that Leeds United might struggle to keep hold of him.

The defender is currently on loan from Brighton but has attracted the attention of several of the Premier League's top clubs, including Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

Speaking on the Leeds That podcast, Forshaw said that while White loves it at Leeds, he wouldn't be surprised to see him playing at a higher level next season.

He said: "I think Ben would be a good fit at a top Premier League team – I don’t think Leeds fans would thank me for saying this.

"He’s a top lad and he’s got everything. He’d suit a club like that [Liverpool]. He loves it at Leeds, though.”
