Manchester United could well be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market this summer.

That’s if various reports are to be believed linking them with multiple players throughout the continent.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have been no stranger to spending large sums of money in the past, landing Paul Pogba for a then world-record fee, as well as signing Harry Maguire for a colossal £80m last summer.

Whether they spend as big this year remains to be seen, but they did acquire Bruno Fernandes in January.

United have already been linked with the likes of Ansu Fati and James Rodriguez this week and of course, Wednesday provoked more transfer rumours.

If you missed any of yesterday’s news, here’s a round-up to start your day.

United interested in Ivan Perisic

German outlet Fussball Transfers reported that the Red Devils are one of two English teams interested in signing the Croatian from Inter Milan.

Currently on loan at Bayern Munich, the Bavarian outfit refused their option to sign him permanently for €20m in the summer (£17.8m). It was reported that they didn’t want to pay over €10m (£8.9m) for his signature.

That means there could be an opening for United and Tottenham who were also linked with the Croatia international.

A bargain price of €15m (£13.3m) could be enough to prise him away from the San Siro where he’s scored 40 goals in 163 appearances.

So far this season, the 31-year-old has found the back of the net five times, laying on eight strikes for his teammates. He reached the World Cup final with Croatia in 2018 and has been capped 88 times by his country.

Bernardeschi offer

As a plan B to Jadon Sancho, United are ready to submit an offer to Juventus to sign winger and attacking midfielder Federico Bernardeschi.

The Italian has scored just once all season, a far cry from Sancho’s 20 goals, but he was once declared the heir to Roberto Baggio’s throne after scoring twice for Fiorentina in 2018.

That being said, the Red Devils will only target the 26-year-old if something goes wrong with their pursuit of the Dortmund starlet.

Tuttosport claims Juventus will take the offer very seriously, but only if it meets or exceeds their €35m (£31.1m) asking price.

The outlet suggests that Bernardeschi’s career in Turin is currently at crossroads, leading us to believe he could well depart in the summer.

Talks with Ben Yedder

United may have signed Odion Ighalo on loan for another year but that hasn’t stopped their pursuit of further firepower in the transfer market.

Lautaro Martinez has been linked this week but recent reports suggest Monaco forward Wissam Ben Yedder has taken their fancy.

The striker, who is currently level on 18 goals with Kylian Mbappe in the race for the Ligue 1 golden boot, is on the shortlist of a host of clubs in Europe.

Though, it’s United who could well be in pole position for his signature. Le10sport claim his agent has already held discussions with the club ahead of a potential summer move.

Any deal doesn’t look as though it’ll be concluded cheaply, however, with Monaco searching for €40m (£35.5m).

If he does move to England, then his current side may look towards Andrea Belotti of Torino as his replacement.
