Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 is finally here.
The latest instalment was set to drop on June 3 but was delayed amid the worldwide protests following George Floyd’s killing while in police custody.
Infinity War announced on Wednesday evening that Season 4 would go live at 7am BST and it’s now available to download.
It’s going to be large, but Infinity Ward community manager Ashton Williams said, per Eurogamer, that the developer is “continuing to sweep all assets to make size reductions where we can, and also further optimise future patches for size.”
Console players have also been advised to uninstall content packs for modes they’re not currently playing in order to free up space.
Not playing much Spec Ops? Get rid of it.
Season 4 will bring new maps and modes to Modern Warfare, as well as the return of Captain Price.
Price is a popular figure in the franchise and he’ll be a playable Operator in Modern Warfare and Warzone.
Infinity Ward has come under a lot of pressure over the size of their installs but Ashton said all of the new content from the Season 4 launch will only take up 4GB on consoles.
If you have the compete Modern Warfare experience on your PlayStation 4 (pre-Season 4), it’s taking up 190.1GB on your hard drive.
That’s an enormous amount. But for everything Season 4 is going to bring, it's going to be worth it.
