Borussia Dortmund will demand £115 million for Jadon Sancho this summer, The Daily Telegraph reports.

The England international was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and the report states that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were in pole position to secure his signature prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

They are now, though, said to be wary of making such a huge bid for the player in such uncertain times.

Sancho has emerged as a star in Germany, scoring 20 goals and registering 20 assists in all competitions this season.

However, United have been tipped to wait until football restarts before committing to any major move for Sancho this summer.

It remains to be seen, then, if the 20-year-old will be playing at Old Trafford next season.

GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…

This is a sensible stance from United.

It remains to be seen, of course, if any clubs will have such huge amounts of money to splash around in the transfer window.

And United do not appear likely to be given any encouragement from the Bundesliga giants as the window draws closer.

It would be a British record transfer fee and one must note that the club have broken that record before, spending £89m to bring in Paul Pogba. He remains their club-record purchase.

The jury remains out on that signing; once bitten, twice shy.
