Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been backed to move to Bayern Munich in the near future, per the Daily Star.

The Reds are poised to win the Premier League title when football returns to our lives later this month; they are currently 25 points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

Klopp made the move to Anfield back in 2015, making the switch from Bayern’s bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Nevertheless, McManaman, a Liverpool legend himself, believes that Klopp could eventually be tempted to move back to his homeland and take up residence in Bavaria.

He said: “I think he really adores Liverpool and the Premier League.

“But you could see him going back to Germany and managing Bayern Munich.

"The way that club is run - and the way German managers are treated there - you wouldn't rule it out. A few years ago it looked like Bayern were on their last legs.

"But now, along with the more experienced players, they've got a plethora of youngsters who are hungry.”

Liverpool fans are unlikely to have anything to worry about in the near future.

One has to imagine that, once the Reds have won the title, they will go all out to defend it next season, under Klopp’s management.

But McManaman may have hit on something here; Bayern may be the only club Klopp would leave for.

A move to Germany almost guarantees a Bundesliga title and one has to believe that they will be looking for a manager who has the ability to win the Champions League.

Klopp has been to two European finals at the Reds, winning one of them, and could potentially take Bayern to the next level.

It is a project that would surely appeal.
