Tottenham Hotspur's Juan Foyth set to join Leeds United on loan

Leeds United are set to sign defender Juan Foyth on loan according to two journalists with knowledge of Argentine football.

The Tottenham man has been linked with a switch in recent days but now it looks as though their interested has materialised with a temporary switch well and truly in the offing.

The news was first published by Nicolas Bozza, who tweeted on Wednesday evening.

Translated, his tweet reads as: "The former footballer of #EDLP Juan Foyth will be a reinforcement of Leeds United.

"The centre back of the Argentina National Team will play in the Bielsa team. He has loaned him for a season."

That was then backed up by another journalist, Roy Nemer, who posted a link saying he was "set to join" Leeds on a temporary basis.

Capped ten times by Argentina, it looks as though Victor Orta has wasted no time in potentially preparing Leeds for Premier League life.

Tottenham Hotspur still keen on Philippe Coutinho

Despite prior reports, Tottenham are still interested in signing Philippe Coutinho this summer.

Previous claims suggested that Spurs weren't looking to add the Brazilian to their squad once the window opens. However, that has now been contradicted by new suggestions from Spanish outlet, Sport (via Sport Witness).

They reported on Wednesday that Jose Mourinho's men were one of the most interested teams in signing the Barcelona midfielder.

On loan at Bayern Munich, both Juventus and Inter Milan have turned down the opportunity to sign Coutinho.

Per the report, Coutinho's agent has been trying to get Spurs to sign the 27-year-old, with communications intensifying between all parties.

Tottenham Hotspur interest in West Ham's Jeremy Ngakia

Tottenham are one of two Premier League club's to have registered an interested in West Ham's Jeremy Ngakia.

The 19-year-old shocked the Hammers this week when he refused to sign a short-term deal to see out the rest of the Premier League campaign.

Ngakia's contract comes to an end at the climax of the current season and it doesn't look as though he'll be renewing his terms.

Two teams are already sniffing around the player with West Ham insider EXWHUEmployee declaring on the latest episode of his podcast:

"I do believe that Ngakia may have been informed of other clubs’ interest in him. He probably hasn’t been promised games at West Ham. I have heard that Crystal Palace and Spurs are amongst a number of clubs who have shown an interest in him.”
