Manchester United's summer is set to be an extremely busy one.

Their reported pursuit of Jadon Sancho is failing to go away but they're also continually being linked with big-name faces from around the globe.

Thursday's news was no different as the Red Devils cast their eyes upon two stars in the Bundesliga, as well as a wonderkid in La Liga.

United's policy revolved around young English players last summer, bringing in the likes of Dan James and Harry Maguire but that strategy seems to have taken a major shift.

That started with the acquisition of Bruno Fernandes in January. He took to the Premier League like a duck to water, contributing to five goals in his first five league matches - it's hardly a surprise that Ed Woodward wants more elite stars to bolster Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's ranks.

If they bring in some of the names linked with a switch to Old Trafford then it's safe to say they'd be in with a fantastic chance of securing a place back in the Champions League.

They'd also surely be an outside bet for the title.

Here's today's round-up in all its glory...

United in the race for Havertz

One of the most remarkable stories of Thursday was that Newcastle are interested in a move for Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz.

The attacking midfielder has very quickly become one of the most sought after players on the planet, scoring 15 goals in Germany this season while laying on eight assists.

Standing at 6 foot 2, the creative star is an elegant physical presence in the middle of the park capable of changing a game. However, the Magpies aren't the only side interested with Man United also a potential destination for Havertz.

The 20-year-old has been linked with Chelsea this week in a deal Frank Lampard's men are hoping to seal for as much as £70m.

Journalist Christian Falk believes Havertz imagines playing for the Blues but a host of other clubs were also in the picture. They happen to be some of the best around - Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

It certainly won't be an easy pursuit.

Jadon Sancho update

This is the story that's failing to go away and there has been another update on what could happen with the Englishman this summer.

Sancho, just 20 years of age, may cost Man United as much as £115m if a story from The Telegraph is anything to go by.

That's the price Borussia Dortmund are demanding for his services, meaning that if United part company with the cash required, it would be a new Premier League record arrival.

The youngster needs little introduction, scoring 20 goals and also racking up the same number of assists this season under Lucien Favre.

He has come back from the recent Coronavirus break in mesmeric form, netting his first career hat-trick against Paderborn a few weeks ago.

The England international may have been fined for getting a haircut when he should have been isolating but his quality more than makes up for some of his off the field antics.

United serious about Fati

This week, two alternatives to Sancho have emerged - Ansu Fati and Federico Bernardeschi.

Spanish publication Sport reported that United were willing to forget all about the Dortmund winger and were ready to focus their attention entirely on the Barcelona attacker.

With Jorge Mendes involved, United made a bid of €100m (£89.1m) for his services. That, however, was rejected by the Catalan giants who told them to look more closely at his release clause of €170m (151m).

Though, on Thursday a new update on Fati and the Red Devils emerged. In the print version of Sport (via Sport Witness), they claimed that Solskjaer's side are "very serious" about the 17-year-old.

After having their first bid rejected, it's suggested United are ready to reach "dizzying figures" in order to bring him to Old Trafford.

Fati has just 24 senior matches to his name scoring five goals and assisting one strike.
