Sony made the gaming world come to a halt yesterday with the reveal of the PlayStation 5.

The reveal event was packed to the brim with a load of new content PlayStation gamers can expect to see in the next few months.

One standout bit of that content, however, was the trailer for the game ‘Stray.’

The game that is being developed by BlueTwelve and published by Annapurna Interactive was presented to the live event’s audience.

Unfortunately, the trailer did not feature any gameplay footage, but that did not deter interest from those watching live, as the footage shown in the trailer was enough to entice those watching into the product.

Annapurna Interactive stated: "Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly,

“Players will play as a stray cat, roaming surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by nothing but unassuming droids and dangerous creatures.”

"Lost, alone and separated from family, players must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find the way home."

The game certainly has a unique identity, with the protagonist being a backpack wearing stray cat, and with the statement released by Annapurna, it certainly has got gamers pondering for more.

The trailer did not determine whether the game would feature an open world for the player to explore or if it would be more like a traditional game with set missions. However, from the footage shown in the trailer, one would hope the game features an open world, as the game’s surroundings makes it look very explorable.

All we know for now on the game’s release date is that it comes out some time next year, but a release date is yet to be set.
