Lionel Messi's highlights in Mallorca 0-4 Barcelona are exceptional


Barcelona star Lionel Messi returned to action on Saturday evening and boy was it good to see him back.

The Argentinian had two assists and scored a goal of his side as Quique Setien’s side defeated Mallorca 4-0.

He’s back, ladies and gentlemen, and he’s still the boss.

Messi assisted Martin Braithwaite’s first Barcelona goal after 37 minutes when he cushioned down a header for the Danish striker to smash home.

Then in the second half he played a lofted pass through to Jordi Alba and watched on as the left-back made it 3-0.

Messi put the cherry on top of a fine display when he fired home with his right-foot in the 93rd minute.

The 33-year-old was given a perfect rating of 10/10 from WhoScored and he now has 20 goals and 14 assists in 23 La Liga appearances this season.

Barcelona’s win pushes them five points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga standings.
