Chelsea will not be making a move to sign Edinson Cavani this summer, according to Football London.
The experienced striker looks set to be on the move this summer following the decision of Paris Saint-Germain not to offer him a new deal.
As a result the 33-year-old looks set to attract some hugely appealing offers this summer as clubs look to move for the Uruguayan attacker.
Chelsea are one club who have been continually linked with a move for Cavani, most recently in the January transfer window, however it was his wage demands of around £360,000 per week that proved to be a stumbling block.
While the Blues are looking for attacking reinforcements, according to Football London it seems that a move for Cavani will once again not be pursued.
They wrote: "Football.london understands there are no plans for the Blues to go back in for Cavani.
"He is now 33 years old and would only be offered a short-term deal at Stamford Bridge were they to be interested, given club protocols when it comes to players over the age of 30.
"Chelsea still remain disinterested in paying more than £300,000 a week for the frontman and not only that, but Lampard and the club turned their attentions elsewhere, with a £53million deal to sign Timo Werner set to be completed in the coming days."

While Edinson Cavani is undoubtedly a top quality player, you can hardly blame Chelsea for not pursuing a deal.
At 33 years of age this is likely to be the striker's last big move and that could prove troublesome as a financial investment.
The sell-on potential of a player in the final years of his career will be limited, not to mention the wage demands that he'll likely bring.
Cavani is likely to be on at least twice the wage of most of Chelsea's first team squad, and that in itself could cause plenty of problems.
It'll be interesting to see where he ends up, but to see that he's not going to West London is not a surprise.
