Dejan Lovren isn’t exactly a fan favourite amongst Liverpool fans. The Croatian has been at Anfield since 2014 and, despite playing 130 times for the club, has been guilty of making costly mistakes in defence. In recent seasons, Lovren has had to make do with a bit-part figure with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all currently ahead of him in the pecking order.Regardless of his reputation, though, Lovren will be hoping to help Liverpool cross the finish line in their pursuit for a first ever Premier League crown.Despite struggling for fitness this season, it seems Lovren is ready for the resumption of football having featured in Liverpool’s 6-0 friendly victory over Blackburn at Anfield earlier this week. But the eight second clip the club’s official Twitter account decided to post of Lovren during the match is just bizarre. The clip shows Lovren simply control the ball, turn back towards his own goal and pass the ball. It was incredibly underwhelming but the club decided to tweet: “Nice, @Dejan06Lovren.” They even slowed it down as if he performed some miraculous skill that we couldn't quite see if it was played in real time...

Really?

It’s fair to say Liverpool fans weren’t particularly impressed and the tweet was quickly going viral for all the wrong reasons.

“Is it just me or any 6 year old with a half decent football knowledge would do that seamlessly?” one replied.

Another asked: “What the f**k was this?”

A third added: “Please tell me this tweet is a joke.”

They might be about to win the Premier League but this was a bit of a PR fail from the club.
