Real Madrid ensured they remained two points behind Barcelona with a 3-1 victory against Eibar on Sunday night.

Playing at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium while the Bernabeu gets renovated, Zinedine Zidane’s side wasted no time in getting back into the swing on things as Toni Kroos put them 1-0 ahead after just three minutes.

But the goal was started by Eden Hazard.

The Belgian has struggled during his first season at Real, scoring once in 16 appearances in all competitions as he’s struggled with injury problems.

But Hazard showed glimpses of being back to his very best against Eibar.

As mentioned, he was involved in the opener as he ran into the box before the ball eventually fell to Kroos, who finished superbly.

But Hazard’s role for the second was brilliant as he was played through on goal by Benzema but unselfishly squared it to the marauding Sergio Ramos.

Hazard was involved against as Real made it 3-0 before half-time as his fierce shot was saved as the ball fell to Marcelo, who fired it home.

Overall, Hazard played 61 minutes, made one assist, had a 90% pass accuracy, won seven duels and was involved in all three goals. He did leave the pitch due to an injury concern but it isn't thought to be serious.

If Hazard can show his very best form in the remaining 10 matches, Real have every chance of pipping rivals Barcelona to the title.

Los Blancos host Valencia on Thursday before travelling to Real Sociedad next weekend. They just need to carry on winning and hope Barca drop points somewhere along the line.
