Edge faced Randy Orton in 'The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever' at Backlash on Sunday night.
The pair went to war for almost 45 minutes and put on a brilliant show under the circumstances.
But in the opinion of most fans, they did fall short of the greatest bout of all-time... no one really expected Edge and Orton to pull it off, but it was good none-the-less.
The match finished with The Viper covering the Rated-R Superstar for a three count, after hitting him with a low blow and a punt to the head.
It was a finish that suggests this feud, which began way back at the Royal Rumble, wasn't supposed to end at Backlash.
But WWE may be forced to call it early, due to an injury suffered during 'The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever'.
According to Fightful, it's believed Edge has torn his tricep and is expected to be out of action for at least eight months. It's unlikely we'll see him in the ring again this year.
You can see images of his suspected injury below, with bruising shown on his right arm:
This is a huge blow for WWE, who are already missing stars like Becky Lynch, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns on SmackDown and RAW.
Despite Sunday's match at Backlash being pre-taped over a week ago, WWE managed to keep Edge's injury a secret until hours before the show, when the news was eventually leaked.
It has also been noted by WrestlingNews that the bout was originally scheduled for SummerSlam, but Vince McMahon moved it forward because he felt he needed more star power on his shows.
That decision has had a disastrous consequence and although Edge's injury couldn't have been foreseen, it means we'll have to forget SummerSlam, he'll likely be out of action for much longer.
