Manchester United are considering a swoop for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, according to the Daily Express.
The 23-year-old is said to be in demand, having impressed some European giants before the COVID-19 suspension.
Both Real Madrid and PSG have been credited with an interest, and United have now entered the race.
The report states that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a midfielder in the summer transfer window.
He has targeted Ajax’s Donny van de Beek and Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso, too, but the Express claims that he will turn to Ndidi if he cannot sign any other target.
Ndidi, who was signed by Leicester to replace N’Golo Kante after his move to Chelsea, has made 29 appearances this season, scoring two goals and registering one assist.
He is valued at £32.4m by Transfermarkt.

Ndidi is just 23 and is only likely to improve as his career progresses.
He does have a contract until 2024, though, meaning Leicester that will surely drive a hard bargain if United come knocking again, having signed Harry Maguire last season.
A defensive midfielder who has genuine drive and pace, he has averaged four tackles per game, along with 2.7 interceptions this season, per WhoScored.
He also averages 0.5 key passes and has a passing accuracy of 84.1% - he would certainly improve United’s midfield.
