Manchester United's pursuit of Jadon Sancho has been handed a significant boost.
As per the Daily Express, the Borussia Dortmund starlet has told the German giants that he wants to return to England this summer.
The 20-year-old is one of the most sought-after prospects in the world of football after establishing himself as a key player for Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho has scored 17 and created 17 in just 27 appearances so far this term, proving that he's very much the real deal at the highest level of the game.
Such performances have attracted interested from Europe's biggest names, with Manchester United heavily linked with a move for the former City youngster.
It seems that the Red Devils are favourites to complete a deal, and if Sancho's intentions are to be believed then it could be one to watch this summer.
GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...
What a signing this would be for Manchester United.
Jadon Sancho is no 'flavour of the month' player, he's a prospect who has the potential to become one of the best players in world football.
What he has done since moving to Borussia Dortmund is hugely impressive, and if he can take those performances into the new season then he's got to be considered as one of the top 10 players on the planet.
If United can secure such a signing it will be a massive signal of intent that they plan to take themselves back to the top of the game.
Whether that can be done remains to be seen, but if they can pull it off then they'll certainly be much closer to their former glory.
