Leeds United are preparing to make a summer move for striker Cyle Larin, according to Turkish publication Aksam, via Sport Witness.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are known to be in the market for another attacker this summer and are assessing the market to find the best option.

Larin currently plays for Besiktas but has spent much of the 2019-20 season on loan with Belgian side Zulte Waregem where he has scored seven and created 10 in 29 appearances.

However he's now returned to the Turkish side where his future is uncertain.

According to the report, Besiktas are said to be in some financial difficulty which means that they will be willing to listen to cut-price offers for their players, including Larin.

That's something that could appeal to Leeds United, who could offer £2.2million to try and get a deal over the line.

The 25-year-old is thought to be a long-term target for the Whites, who were also keen on a deal for him while he was with Orlando City, whom he left for Besiktas in 2018.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This could be one to watch this summer.

Leeds United are known to be keen on a move for a striker this summer, however it remains to be seen who will be their top choice.

Cyle Larin is unlikely to be their first choice, however at £2.2million he may well be a shrewd addition if they're looking to watch their budget.

The likelihood is that the Whites will be looking for a more proven option if they secure promotion to the top flight.

However, if they were to fall short in reaching the Premier League then Larin could well be the sort of player that they bring in.
